Ghanaian musician Black Sherif was arrested at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) last night, dated July 19, 2023.
Information suggests that he is now at the police headquarters in Accra for further interrogation. Kofi Tv reported that the Ghana police service picked him up due to a contract violation regarding a July 4 show he failed to honor in Greece.
The 2023 VGMA Artist of the Year was detained at the airport because he had been added to the stop list after a client complaint led to his inclusion, according to Kofi Adomah, host of the Kofi TV channel on YouTube.
Our sources also confirmed that it is due to a contractual problem he has to play on a cruise ship in Greece, having charged US$40,000 and acquiring half of the amount.
