Ghanaian Dancehall/Afrobeats artist Shatta Wale made history in London at the just-ended Ghana Music Awards UK on Saturday, October 7, 2023. The Iconic Ghanaian Musician beat the likes of Black Sherif, King Promise, Sarkodie, Piesie Esther, and Stonebwoy in the Artist of the Year category.
Of the five categories nominations, Shatta Wale won all. He also turned the Royal Regency into a glittering music palace. While some Ghanaians were unhappy with his success, Shatt Wale took to his Twitter handle: "I am very sorry, my haters, you couldn't see I was coming this way."

- Most popular music of the year - On God
- Most Dominant fanbase of the year - Shatta Movement
