Ghanaian comedian DKB has responded critically to a recent sermon by Mensa Otabil on his X handle, where the preacher urged men to marry and not to use financial instability as an excuse.
According to DKB, societal circumstances have evolved, suggesting that Otabil's remarks are outdated in the current context.
He further supported his argument with data, noting that more than 90 per cent of divorces in Ghana result from financial challenges.
"Daddy, if you go to divorce court, ninety percent of the cases are financial issues. Daddy, we are waiting to get cash before we get married. Daddy, your time was better. If you don't take care of this time, you marry the devil."
"This time, if you don't take care, you go marry the devil," The comedian adds.
"Marriage is not the treatment for fornication; it is not at all. The remedy for fornication is self-control, Daddy. There are a lot of married people who are even more engaged on the single market than actual bachelors."
