Controversial Kumawood actor LilWin, whose real name is Kwadwo Nkansah, has publicly begged Martha Ankomah from the Gallywood side to forgive him for his actions that have led to a legal dispute.

According to the Kumawood star, he never meant to humiliate Martha deliberately over their misconception, which affected his public identity. He added that he realized his errors and wanted Martha to forgive him, hoping to settle their legal cases and promote the movie industry.

"Martha is my sister and colleague. Controversies are natural but need to be resolved. No one is above apology; even the president apologizes when he is wrong. Occasionally, the way bloggers report issues isn't accurate because I would never insult Martha. Yet, such assertions were made.

"So, if I offended her or she despised me, we are all human, and she should forgive me. I have also forgiven her because it's work. We want the movie industry to progress, not the other way round,"

Meanwhile, Martha Ankomah has rejected assertions that LilWin approached her for an out-of-court settlement.

It all started when Martha Ankomah filed a defamation lawsuit against LilWin after he made disparaging comments about her in a viral video.

The actress declares that LilWin's statements hurt her reputation and that of the fabric brand GTP.

She aims for GH¢5 million in injuries, an apology, a retraction, and an injunction against further defamatory statements.

The lawsuit stems from LilWin's response to Ankomah's comments on Accra FM, where she expressed interest in collaborating with Kumawood actors due to their storylines.

LilWin insulted the actress in his response video, leading to the lawsuit.
